It has become increasingly common for Local Planning Authorities to require technical assessments such as, archaeological assessments, habitat surveys, transportation appraisals, flood risk assessments and environmental studies be submitted with major and even smaller applications as part of their validation requirements. Woods Hardwick Planning has acted as the lead consultant on a number of major schemes in recent years. In this role we have been the link between the client and any consultants employed to provide specialist advice and/or supporting studies and have often arranged the appointment of the consultants and managed the collation of assessments, both for applications requiring an Environmental Statement and those that do not. This service has proven valuable to clients as we have taken on part of the project management role on their behalf.
